
Former Bayern Munich striker Giovane Elba has spoken up on Neymar’s possible return to Barcelona. Elba, when asked if Barcelona should bring Neymar back to Camp Nou, said the club shouldn’t re-sign him after his bad decision to join PSG.
He told Mundo Deportivo: “Neymar was very bad with Barca. He wanted to leave Barca, but if he wanted to be the best in the world, he couldn’t go to PSG, how do you want to be the best in the world playing at Paris Saint-Germain?”
Pjanic, De Sciglio + 25m for Semedo
On Sunday, report from Sport revealed that Barcelona and Juventus have reached a verbal deal which will see Juve give Barca €25 million plus Pjanic and De Sciglio for Nelson Semedo.
On papers this morning, the news has featured as headlines along with Lautaro Martinez possible move to Barcelona. However, the deal is not yet closed because Nelson Semedo has not approved.
“Barca attack will be unstoppable” – Melo
Former Brazil international Filipe Melo has heaped praise on Lautaro Martinez and he would like to see the forward at Barcelona. He is curious to see how the Inter forward will play if he arrives at Camp Nou, and he has said that Barca’s attack will be unstoppable if Lautaro and Neymar join the club.
He said: “I have a lot of curiosity to see how Lautaro plays at Barca. Imagine adding a forward of that quality to Suarez, Messi and Neymar. They would be practically unstoppable.
“You’d need five Felipe Melos on the pitch to kick them a lot and a referee on your side to help. Anything else and you know you’ll lose 7-0 immediately.”
Barcelona working on signing Kai Havertz
Barcelona are now in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the possible signing of Kai Havertz.
Manchester United and Liverpool are the favourites to sign Havertz. But Barcelona are now ready to join the race in signing the player who has scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists in 34 appearances this season.
Havertz is valued at €80 million and Leverkusen are considering 3 players from Barca for that money. The players include Emerson, Carles Alena and Marc Cucurella.
